1956 - 1964 :
Our founder Mr.Fong Yoon Tong started with a small cottage in 1950's with hand-made genuine leather men dress shoes and hand-sewn
stitched down casual shoes with rubber outsole. The product were accepted in the market quickly.
1965 - 1973 :
As the business progressed, the place became too small to cater for lager production capacity. The cottage was then moved to a shop cum work place.
The first company formed was then known as Ngee Ming Shoemaker. Mr.Y.T.Fong started to employ more workers to increase production output.
Besides selling some of his final products in his shop he also distributed to shoe retailer. The business had expanded and soon the company also
manufactured police and army boots, as well as police belts.
1974 - 1997:
Mr.Y.T.Fong's shoe was well known for reasonable price, quality and excellent service. Soon the demand for the shoes increased, the production needed
expansion to a bigger location. Ngee Ming Shoesmaker was then moved to a factory in an industrial area where the business is successfully carried on
until today. On 17th April 1981 Ngee Ming Shoe Manufacturers Sdn.Bhd. was incorporated as a private limited company. Today, the business is lead by Mr.L.T.Fong, Our Managing Director with over 30 years experience in shoe manufacturing. The business is also supported by Ms.Lisa Fong, our Marketing Director who graduated
from Cordwainers College, London as a footwear designer and marketing person. Under Mr.L.T.Fong's leadership, he has successfully registered our house brands
trademarks under Ferradini and Oscar. During the 80's to 90's we have archived a great success in selling Ferradini men fashion shoes with stitched-down construction.
Today customers still remember Ferradini!
1997 - Today: Oscar have upgraded our production standard to meet CE-Conformity with European Standard since year 2001. In year 2003, our continuous improvement in quality
management system was recognized and accredited with ISO 9001:2008 International Quality System, Malaysia Department of Safety and Health also recognized Oscar safety footwear
as quality protective footwear for industrial use.
Today, the company specializes in various type of industry safety footwear. We have successfully developed a complete range of industry safety footwear suitable for various working environment.
To-date our product is distributed to more than 500 outlets in Malaysia and agency worldwide.
